Where To Eat In Marrakech

Where To Eat In Marrakech

Marrakech eats in layers. There is the food of the medina, the food of the riads, and a newer Mediterranean kitchen growing around Majorelle and Gueliz.

Eat one great tagine, one great grill, and then let the rest of your week be lighter: olive oil, tomato, fresh cheese, herbs, citrus and bread.

That lighter register is what we cook at Carmel — Italian and Mediterranean plates built from Moroccan produce, with a wood oven at the centre of the room.

Book dinner for after 20:00 and lunch for before 13:00; the city eats late, and the terrace turns over slowly.
