Best Brunch in Marrakech

Marrakech wakes early. By eight, the light through the jacaranda on Boulevard Allal Al Fassi is already gold, and the first tables at Carmel are set with linen, olive oil and a basket of warm bread.

A good brunch in this city needs three things: shade, citrus and time. Shade because the terrace should stay cool until noon. Citrus because the oranges here are the best in the world for two months of the year. Time because nobody in Majorelle eats quickly.

Our own brunch runs every day until 16:00 — avocado on sourdough with dukkah, green shakshuka with warm flatbread, labneh with honey and pistachio, and cold-pressed juice poured at the table.
